Catching Up with Kai and Keila

Hope this makes up for it! Lots to catch up on.

We can already tell that Kai and Keila will drive each other bonkers sometimes.  Kai likes to annoy Keila.  And Keila, being as feisty as she is, doesn't put up with it.  He likes to put his hands in her face.  She gets so annoyed! It's really cute actually. Keila is one VOCAL and INTENSE little girl. She loves to flex her vocal chords — and she sings too!  Sometimes, she gives the meanest glares.  But, her smiles are the sweetest.  What you see is what you get with Keila. You don't want to get on her bad side. 

Kai is such the chill, older brother.  Watch out when these two can talk to each other! They're so different from each other!

Cyn, Paul, Kai, Keila and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to LA this weekend!  It'll be my parents first time meeting Keila — so we'll have lots of stories to tell. Let's hope our flight takes off on time though — there's a SNOWSTORM in NY today!!! It's coming down really hard.  I can't wait for sunny California.

33 degrees in NYC.  Will be 69 degrees in LA.  Yes!

He’s a BIG BOY now!

Sarah is the 3 year old daughter of Elissa, one of Cyn's best friends from high school.  She flew into town for Keila's Baptism last weekend.  Kai loves hanging out with Sarah.  They experienced their FIRST KISS together!  And, they've been taking bubble baths together, too.  Gosh Kai, you move FAST.

Mischa is Kai's future girlfriend, and Keila's future BFF.  Oh, she's also Auntie Bubba's godchild.  🙂 Mischa is the daughter of 2 of our best friends, Julie and Jon.  They used to live in NYC, but are now in sunny Miami.

Been meaning to share this cute video.  Bubba and Kai went to the NY Children's Museum on Wed. Jan. 6th.  It's heaven for kids.  Great for stimulating their minds, and just a great, great time.  Check out Kai's awesome rhythm technique at the Dora musical exhibition! Look for Kai's amazing quintuplet beat!

To date, Kai has kissed his baby sister about a BILLION times.  He is such a Kuya (big brother) already.  He takes such good care of her.

Look who decided to come into the world right before 2010!?!  The "Little Diva" made her dramatic entrance 4 weeks early, so you would never forget 2009.  Drumroll please…..INTRODUCING BABY GIRL KEILA CASASOLA BEAUBRUN!!! This blog is officially now called "Keepin Up with Kai and Keila"! Thanks Uncle Dave for the idea.  :)  "Keila" means "keeper of the keys", "pure", and "wise".   Pronunciation: "Kei" rhymes with "day".

Beautiful Keila looks a lot like Kai and Cyn!

Now that Cyn is 7 months pregnant and can no longer travel, we decided to have a Winter Wonderland Christmas in NYC.  It was intimate, low-key, and very special.  Had a few friends over, ate baked chicken with shitake mushrooms, pasta, and salmon, with all the sides: mash potatos and stuffing.  We sang Christmas carols by the piano, played Cranium, and opened Christmas gifts.  Kai loves opening up the presents, and every time he opened up a gift, he said "WOW" and "NICE".  We love his expressions.  We had a really great time with each other.
