• One more day before I see Kai! Woohooo!! Oh yeah, and Cyn and Paul, too.  🙂 Leaving for Haiti at 9:20AM.

I spoke to Cyn the other day, and she said Kai’s like a little boy now.  You give him a toy and he’ll try to "DESTROY" it, the way boys do.  Nooo! Stay sweet & angelic Kai! All babies have to grow up, I know.

    I can’t can’t can’t can’t wait to see him………

  • No picture to post.  Just wanted to write how much I miss Kai.  He left with Mommy & Daddy last Friday for the start of their World Tour — starting with Haiti! They left last Friday.  Waa.  I’ve been emailing with Cyn.  She said Kai slept through the entire plane ride — 4 hour flight! His first plane ride ever!  And she said he was a BIG HIT over there.  He got to meet his grandma on the other side — Paul’s mom!

We’ll be going to Haiti next week, so I’ll post pictures then! Can’t wait to see him again!

Kai was baptized this past Sunday, on Palm Sunday no less, at Blessed Sacrament Church — just a 5 minute walk from our apartment! There were 6 other babies being baptized as well.  Kai was so good — not a peep when the cold water hit his head! (Although he did get a little fussy after the ceremony was over. At least he knows when it’s the appropriate time! haha)  It was such a wonderful and special day.

Wow, check out Kai sitting up on Ninong Ray’s couch all by himself! Good job, Kai Kai!
I love how tiny he looks on the big couch.

  • Kai_baby_bjorn
Kai has finally started using the Baby Bjorn and LOVES it! He loves facing out, looking at everything, meeting new people, and being a tourist in NYC! Here he is shopping with Mommy at Diesel.

  • Kai celebrated Auntie Liz’s Birthday at her 1st ever concert on Feb. 18th! He was so good, and was asleep during the ENTIRE show (were you bored, Kai???). He only woke up when it was over.  Kai has been to so many gigs already! He can sleep right through concerts, and wakes up when it’s quiet.  He’s a true ROCKSTAR!

I especially loved Kai’s outfit at the concert — he wore this awesome t-shirt that said "HAVE NO FEAR", reminding Auntie Liz and Mom (who were particularly nervous!) to just have a good time in the show! Thanks Kai for reminding us to have COURAGE!

    SHOWTIME!!!!                                                     Enjoying the show…

  • Kai’s first passport! This boy will start his ROCKSTAR TOUR starting this April! First stop on his parents’ tour is Haiti.  Zing Experience will be the Opening Act for Sean Paul!  2nd Stop, Europe, touring with Boukman Ekperyans, his grandparents’ band! He is a true Sagittarian — he loves to travel!

  • I haven’t seen my dad this excited, since…..I don’t even know.  We took Kai to the pool again — my dad had a plan to use the "doodle" to get him to learn how to swim — at the age of 2 months!  haha…my dad is such an OVERACHIEVER!!!

As soon as we laid Kai flat on his stomach, he started to KICK! Kick like a fish.  Auntie Kyong calls him AQUAMAN.  We are constantly amazed at what he can do!

Try to count how many times my dad says "HE’S KICKING!"

  • Kai had his first swim in the pool this past Monday! As usual, he had an entire paparazzi following his every move — we were so excited!

Kai was a total natural — we should hope so, considering his name means "peaceful ocean"! And that’s exactly what he was, peaceful — he was totally calm, and completely trusting of Cyn, being in her arms. Uncle Victor had a psychic moment and said Kai would be an Olympic swimmer, aka Michael Phelps!

He felt so comfortable that after 30 minutes of doing laps across the pool with Cyn, he FELL ASLEEP! Sooooo cute!

    Enjoy this video!

And here’s when Kai fell asleep! He probably felt like he was back in the womb.  🙂

  • Kai had his FIRST subway ride to his FIRST Superbowl this past Sunday!

I like to think Kai was the good luck charm that brought the NY
Giants to VICTORY! We walked into Lorraine’s house in the 2nd quarter
of the game (she was throwing this massive Superbowl Party with tons of
people!) and the Giants were down.  As soon as Kai walked in, the
Giants took the game to the next level!

Go GIANTS! Go KAI! (I’m not even a football fan — I just jumped on the bandwagon because it was a NY team!)
