Kai and Cyn arrived back to NYC on Saturday, Nov. 15th! And my oh my, has Kai grown. He was overwhelmed at first, with his "new" surroundings, and was holding on to Mom. I was so scared that he had forgotten all of us since we haven't seen him since Oct. 7th. But, he soon warmed up, and was back to his old, cheery, happy self! Phew, Thank God!

We had a dinner for Dave and Kaori, the BEST NEIGHBORS IN THE WORLD, back in September and had to share it with you. Kai loves his Uncle Dave and Auntie Kaori — they have seen the Casasolas through every important event in their lives in NYC. We appreciate them so much! Uncle Dave was the one who drove Kai home from the hospital when he was born — he drove 3 miles per hour just to be safe! I can't believe that was almost a year ago.
Ninong Ray, Uncle Dave, and Daddy ended up doing some improv hip hop dancing that night! It was so much fun — and Kai was so entertained, loving every minute of it.

Kai smiling at Auntie Liz while holding the Filipino flag
and eating Cheerios. Ako ay Pilipino!Wow, one more month to go before our Kai Kai's all grown up and ONE YEAR OLD! Slow down, Kai. I had a dream about him last night — actually, I dreamt about him 2 nights in a row. Dreamt that we were playing together. I miss him so much. They'll be back in NYC on Nov. 17th — 2 weeks away. I wish he was here for his 1st Halloween. In the meantime, planning mode for his 1 year birthday is in full effect!

So, I was getting worried about not hearing from Cyn/Kai in over a week since they left for Guyana, South America! Well, THANK GOD, I got an email from Cyn today! PHEW! With all the tragic news about Jennifer Hudson's family, I just really needed to hear from Cyn and my favorite nephew in the world. Here's a little update on Kai:
…"oh, kai is getting bigger and bigger everyday!!! you will trip out!!!
he has his top two teeth now!!! i can't believe it!!! it came out here
in guyana!!! he has been such a trooper during all the adventures here
in guyana. he really is the best! he dances sooo much whenever he
hears good music! if it's not that good, he doesn't dance! he has good
taste and can tell the difference! and he drums all the time!!! on
beat!!! its crazy!!! everyone is amazed. he was so popular at the
festival… people saying how gorgeous he is and this one photographer
asked if he could take a picture of him because he was so beautiful.
and kai always looks at the camera as usual. and people always are so
amazed that they never hear him cry… he really is the best." -

I miss Kai…that's all.

Here Kai is in his friend's walker. We almost bought him one, but ran into a doctor friend that said studies showed that babies who used walkers (that you sit in) actually delayed their walking by months. She said it was better to buy the walker that teaches him to balance his weight. We listened to her!Check out his walker we did buy him, in a past blog:
